University Instruction

At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I have had the chance to support undergraduate and graduate students in critical assessment and discussion on various topics relevant to development and well-being through in person lecturing, group facilitation, and engaged learning methods and technology.

Consuming Happiness

This class discusses the intersection of our money habits, values, and personal well-being. Can we buy happiness? How far would we be willing to go to do so? And how can we live purposefully and meaningfully, now?

Bridging the Gap: From Research to Action

Hands on instruction and practice evaluating and translating research into materials to be used by clients, consumers, and professionals, including change theory, logic models planning, and participatory action.

Other areas of expertise:

Positive psychology, qualitative research methodology, human and family development, change theory, adolescence, positive youth development

Group Facilitation and Workshops

Beyond the University, I’ve worked as a life skills coordinator, youth employment counselor, and advocate within a variety of nonprofit organizations to support youth, parents, and families. In these roles, I developed and facilitated evidence-based programming to promote healthy development, build positive relationships, and learn vital life skills through engaging hands on activities and group learning. Below are some of the organizations I’ve worked with.
